Camden People’s Theatre, London, as part of the Camden Fringe Festival.
“a fine little hairy gem of a show… thoroughly delightful”

“Ralfe’s ability to take the quaint and make it almost Lynchian is wonderful” – Exeunt Magazine
Darren is divorced and father to children who barely recognise him. But when he spots a hamster in a pet shop window, he feels a spark he’s missed for months.
As life with his new friend becomes euphoric, they escape together to a place more imaginary than real.
“Welcome to Hamster Town,” he said, realising the excitement had gone to his head.
A comic and surreal tale, combining playful, physical performances with poetry and storytelling. Hamster Town is about an ordinary man for whom everything that matters is just out of reach.
